Our Story
Innov8 Hair Design was created by owner Katie Tiedeken. Originally from Petaluma, CA, Katie followed her passion for hair and moved to Southern CA in 2005 where she attended beauty school at Golden West College in Huntington Beach; CA. Katie graduated in 2008 receiving her Cosmetology Degree, she decided she wanted more education and landed her first job at an Aveda Salon in Huntington Beach, CA as a salon assistant and stylist, for over a year Katie was trained one on one with Aveda color and cutting educators who strictly supervised her and where extremely critical on Katie’s work. She gained a large amount of knowledge and experience through out the training program. In 2010 Katie decided to move to Long Beach, CA and work for another salon; she still kept up with education and always wanted to learn something new. Katie’s skills became more advanced as the years passed. She continued to follow her dream of having her own salon. Katie’s dream came true on October 1st of 2013 where she opened up her first salon in Long Beach, CA called; “Innov8 Hair Design”
The Vision
When the owner Katie created “Innov8 Hair Design” She wanted to do something different when it came to the style and feel of the salon to the products being used. Katie decided to do the modern style by all furniture, signs and art custom made; In this up to date modern salon it comes off as new, clean, and a cool style that’s evolving into something bigger. I feel that Innov8 is very unique because you cannot find our style or mission anywhere else which sets us apart from other salons.
Our stylist; take her time and really listens to what the clients are looking for. Katie works hard and are very knowledgeable when it comes to Color, Cuts, Styles, and Smoothing Treatments, etc.
Innov8 Hair Design is all about giving back to environment. We made sure all the products being used and sold to our clients are environmentally friendly and NO ANIMAL TESTING.
