Katie received her cosmology license in 2008. After she graduated, she wanted more behind the chair training; she assisted at an Aveda salon in Huntington Beach for 14 months after she graduated; she was trained one on one with the color and cutting educators which provided a amount of knowledge and  hands on experience.
In 2011 Katie was introduced to the color line Pravana, which she fell in love with right away, she took her career further and became a certified master colorist through Pravana.  
Katie continues to take classes year round to keep her skills sharp and up to date on the latest hair trends and styles. When it comes to color and cuts, she feels very confident in anything you bring to the table, to color corrections, platinum blonds to crazy bright colors! 
    Katie listens to her clients and understands what they want, she always gives feed back on up to date hair color, cuts and fun new styles.  Katie's current hairstyle is long and blond!  She normally wears her hair wavy or up someway.  One of her style tips is; product is KEY!  Make sure you understand what you’re putting in your hair and why.  She was born and raised in the bay area up north in a small town called Petaluma.  Shes a creative person who enjoys; hair, photography, painting, cooking, traveling, animals and music. When the season’s right you will find Katie up in the mountains hitting the ski slopes and enjoying the snowy weather to hiking in the warm weather during the summer time. #thecolorist_katie
